Hardly a cause for notice in Duluth normally, but with our early and extended spring, most everyone figured that the winter season was really over. Almost, but not quite. For much of yesterday and overnight, it snowed. It was a wet, heavy snow. Fortunately, it was warm enough that there wasn’t too much damage to the newly leafing trees.
Because we’re fairly close to Lake Superior, we didn’t get quite as much snow as was reported up over the hill.

And indeed, the feeders were busy. Here’s a pine siskin looking peevish about the starling who just can’t control himself:
By noon, most of the snow was gone. THAT will be the last of the snow for the season. Summer is now officially welcome.
