Lester and Amity Dogwalk
Maya took me for a walk last night and we toured a bit of Lester River and Amity Creek.
We only saw one person fishing, down below the first waterfall under the railroad bridge. I watched the waterfall for a while, hoping to see some jumping fish, but they’re not jumping right now. Oh well.
We walked upstream, and after several negotiation attempts and one slightly wet foot, we crossed the Lester above the Cliffs of Insanity to find some blueberry plants at work:
Even looking at the flowers gets my mouth watering. 🙂
I saw a lot of birds from afar, but none were feeling photogenic. A red squirrel was taunting me for a while, but he was also decidedly shy. Shy and belligerent, and also not photogenic. Oh well.
Here’s Amity, just above The Deeps:
That’s the same scene (from further back) as the header on this page. I slowed down the shutter to get the silky water. What you don’t see is the dozen or so other pictures I took, monkeying with camera settings until it looked all right. And it looks all right.
